Those football thumbsticks look good. 1000hz when wired is pretty good. 250 hz with the dongle is literally twice as many the Xbox controller that comes with the Xbox. Also, i think the "O" button is supposed to be this controllers equivalent of the Series "screenshot/record" button.

Has the OMG button got software programability perhaps? I'm wondering if it is designed for the PC? Looks pretty decent as budget controllers go! This would be perfect for my son's bedroom PC, especially with the RGB! Thanks for the review :)

The only reason why I'm paying extra for the Ally instead of the steam deck is BECAUSE of windows

The first time I plugged it was mentally exhausting. you just get a brand new controller from the box, breaking it right away is just ridiculous. but there are two things that need to pay attention to, this one back panels, second is changing the facepad. my advise do it one by one and watch before you apply the replacement for A/B and B/A, wrong button will cost you the controller.

Quick question does it wake a LCD Deck with the 2.4GHz like it does the Ally?

Her gameplay is horrible. I’m fine with just having 1 weapon but it’s so uninspired and not fun. She plays like a beta test version of Trish from DMC 4. And if you’re only going to have a character have 1 weapon we should have been able to do special upgrades to them. But this is our bayonetta in bayo 4 so,,,yay?

I loved my rog ally when I had it, but went to the SD OLED. Which is phenomenal. Really tempted to switch back now that it has better battery life… I really miss COD and I got rid of all my consoles. I know you’ve been playing a lot of COD on it.. but straight up, without talking exact performance , does it meet your expectations for a cod machine primarily

I just love Steam Deck fanboys. IF ONLY Steam had made a Deck with good stuff in it instead of picking mostly old parts and overpricing it. I'm waiting to see what Luna Lake handhelds will do Q4 24-Q2 25 because they can be much better.

Steam deck is not for the "bit stupid". Steamdeck is linux. Windows handhelds are just rubbish, very powerful but software wise, total rubbish. The steam deck is the pinnacle of optimisation, a balance between power and fun. Like the classic gameboy, it was not as powerful as the game gear, but still, people would buy the game boy, better price, better experience. Change my mind.

I have a steam deck 256LCD I’m looking for another device and have my radar on the claw if they lower the price many reviews says it’s very janky but with a few more updates though out this year could be my next handheld we’re living in a great time many companies want to compete and that’s a great thing for us could consumers

I've bought myself 2 of these controllers. I bought my first one after watching your video, and the second one, after loving the first so much. On a sidenote, I never knew it, until you mentioned it, but I never knew that info about the Dreamcast controller. Have always wondered why I've never gotten a drifting Dreamcast controller, as old as that system is, and its hardware, but all of these newer controllers, or even the era of the 360 and PS3, all seem to end up with that drifting mess, or at least a lot of the controllers I've played with, or have owned, throughout all these years. I hope they make it better as I'm on my second RMA for the original. It's a great computer when it works but Asus can't be trusted. Battery life was horrendous. 3 games and you're done. It was terrible. Again trust for Asus is gone for me.

my firmware folder had an exe that you use instead, all I had to do was plug the controller into the pc, then enter update mode on the controller by holding down the settings button as welll as A, once the program detects the controller you can hit "update firmware" on program. really easy and quick.

Yeap og one plays all that good also . A little less stutter and 6 to 8 fps on the X . If i didnt have the og i would jump on this but im happy for now anyhow 😊

I've noticed that other people, along with me, smell the exhaust air coming out of the Steam Deck. People I've never interacted with before do the same thing.

I'm going to give the Ally X a shot to win me over but not having an OLED screen and no track pads are two pretty big omissions. Chances are I'm going to end up just sticking with my Steam Deck OLED.
